[edit] What Is It?

Domain Tasting is the practise of registering multiple Internet domains, with the intent of returning most of them in a few days. During this period, traffic to the acquired domains is measured; only those domains with significant traffic are maintained and the rest are returned. As a result of the Add-Grace Period (AGP) offered by many top-level domains, the returned domains are essentially "tasted" for free. In extreme instances tens of thousands of domains can be obtained by a single registrar, with more than 99% being returned before the expiry of the AGP.
