Community claim

CLAIMS:

A claim is a statement about something relating to your community of interest. For example, claims can be made about the ICANN Community. Other claims can be made about the Domainer Community.

Why claims? ICANNWiki feels that claims are beneficial in understanding what is on the mind of the community. There is no such thing as a right or wrong claim. A claim is a claim, nothing more, nothing less. If it leads to heated discussion or debate, that is a healthy thing as it illustrates issues of concern and where further action or education is needed.

A claim is a statement, not a question. So, form your statement and get the pulse of the community!

In the below example, a person set forth a claim. While 6 people agree with the claim, 19 people oppose the claim.

Claims for the ICANN Community were set up to post claims where ICANN is one of the tags. The same goes for the Domainer Community where the principle tag is Domain. What this means is anyone who is not familiar with, or does not place a claim through ICANNWiki.org, ICANNWiki-ers will still see the claim. The reason for this is it will allow those on ICANNWiki to see what anyone who makes an ICANN or Domain related claim is thinking.

Claims should be straight forward, educational and constructive. Claims should not be slanderous, derogatory or hurtful towards others.
