ICANN: The Movie -- Casting for "ICANN: The Movie" started on 2nd November 1999 at a restaurant across the street from the Marina Del Rey Marriott . . . present at the initial pitch were Marilyn Cade, Peter Dengate Thrush, Nigel Roberts, Ken Stubbs, Kevin Mitchell and a number of others.

The premise for the movie was the startling resemblance of a number of the actors on the ICANN Stage with real-life Hollywood Actors, both of today and yesteryear.

This intriguing question remains: which ICANN Characters do YOU think should be played by which movie stars in a non-animated version of the movie?

The original "ICANN The Movie" (a.k.a "A New .HOPE") should not be confused with the animated productions of "ICANN: The Movie" which, although they were made after New Hope, and by a completely different production team, are known as

Episode 1, Episode 2 and Episode 3 respectively.

The original 1999 production was renamed 'A New .HOPE' (since we were all younger and much less worldly-wise back then) at re-release, now scheduled for the second half of 2007, with additional digital special effects.

The producers of 'Icann The Movie: A New .HOPE' want nominations, paricularly for newer members of the ICANN Flying Circus and Travel Club.
