Michuki Mwangi

Michuki is the President of AfTLD (Africa).

Mr. Michuki Mwangi is the current Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Kenya Internet Exchange Point (KIXP) having served in that role for the past one year and previously served as the technical liaison officer for a period of 5 years. He currently also serves as the President of the African Top Level Domain (AfTLD) Association that represent the African ccTLD community. Mr, Mwangi previously worked as the Administrative Manager of the dot KE Registry organization KENIC. It is during this period that he facilitated the implementation of F-Root Servers, J-Root Servers, .COM Root Servers and .NET Root Servers on anycast distribution at the KIXP. Further, the .KE registry also has its one of its slave DNS servers running on an anycast service provided by Packet Clearing House (PCH). His career commenced at Swift Global (K) Ltd one of Kenya’s largest ISP’s as a Network Administrator. He is actively involved in the African regional policy and capacity development activities namely AfNOG and AfriNIC and also active at the Country Code Name Support Organization (ccNSO) constituency of ICANN.
