Paul Raynor Keating

Paul originally worked in the venture capital industry in San Francisco during the early days of Silicon Valley. After clerking with the California Supreme Court, he began actively practicing law in 1983. Paul is licensed in California and admitted to practice before most US federal courts.

Most recently, Paul was an equity partner in Carroll, Burdick & McDonough, then a 93 attorney firm with offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Walnut Creek and Riga Latvia. At CBM Paul was responsible for the firm’s Business Transactions and IP practice group. During his tenure with CBM Paul was responsible for a wide-variety of transactions ranging from start-ups to $100 million mergers for his business, tax and intellectual property clients.

In 2004 he resigned from CBM to relocate to Barcelona Spain where he lives with his wife and son. He has since begun Renova, ltd., a new law firm representing a selective group of businesses and individuals, including his former clients in the US as well as new clients in Europe and Asia.

Paul’s practice emphasizes finance, international tax planning and intellectual property. He has been active in the domain industry since 1996 and continues to represent domain portfolio holders and registrars. His practice is focused in the areas of global business structuring (design and implementation), transactions, and complex dispute resolution.
