As a logged-in person you can set your preferences via the "my preferences" link found in the upper right corner of every page.
A few possibilities include adjusting your date and time, preferences for how the edit screen appears, changing your password, and much more. You can also set your preferences to get an email when a change is made to your talk page or to a page that you are watching.
