There are arguments among people in the internet community that this particular retreat meeting spot is the place that most of the substantive material that evolved into policy and practice happens around ICANN. Many of the names are common to ICANN meetings. This could lend itself to fuel legitimacy to conspirist opinion, or it could simply mean that the folks who organized the meeting gathered key players from organizations involved with ICANN.
