The Hummingbird

The Hummingbird is near the "far end" of Courtenay. I hate to waste a good appetite on a disappointing main course, and The Hummingbird is a good idea for those who are afraid of committment...

Rather than concentrating on main courses (of which there are a view), the menu has a variety of "small plates"...

...which you can mix and match a la carte, or which are arranged in fixed-price courses for those who are both uncommitted and indecisive.

The staff is delightful, and later disabused me of my suspicions about what really went into the "Lamb's fry" that I had for breakfast at the hotel, and which inspired considerable laughter from the Fabulous.com team when I asked them if they knew what it was I had eaten.
