Kasek Galgal is an Internet for Development advocate from the Pacific Island country of Papua New Guinea. After beginning a career in academia, Kasek got more involved in the Internet community by promoting access to information for education in his community and later serving on the board of the Pacific Island chapter of the Internet Society (PICISOC).

Career[edit | edit source]

Kasek currently works as an academic at the University of Papua New Guinea[1]. He also serves as board secretary to PICISOC.

ICANN Involvement[edit | edit source]

With PICISOC being an ICANN At-Large structure, Kasek began getting involved with APRALO and was a fellow to ICANN57 in Hyderabad, India.

Involvement in Internet Governance[edit | edit source]

Kasek is an ISOC chapter board member and was an ISOC Ambassador[2] to the 2015 Internet Governance Forum in Joao Pessoa, Brazil.
