.eng is a possible new TLD in ICANN's new gTLD program. It seems that the organization that has suggested it, dot.eng, is mainly trying to put together a English centric TLD in response to other such initiatives, such as the .cymru gTLD for Wales and the Welsh.[1] Whether this application will actually be filed by this organization or any other remains to be seen.
