Safaricom Limited

Safaricom Limited is the biggest telecommunication company in East and central Africa.

Having been formed in 1997, it has become a leading tech giant in Africa. It prides itself in owning Mpesa, a unique way of mobile money transfer, which was founded in 2007. As of September 7 2017, the CEO of the International corporation is Bob Collymore taking over from Michael Joseph on November 1st, 2010.

Safaricom is the Lead service provider of data, SMS and voice in Kenya. Being the first company in East Africa to possess 3G internet technology, As at now Safaricom has pushed for the 4G/LTE network in the major region and distribution of the Fibre to home connections.

Safaricom also plans to venture into the eCommerce platform and expand in other region in Africa, beyond East and Central Africa.
