Last year saw more [[Brand TLD|Brand TLDs]] head for the exits as companies sent termination notices for a variety of strings. From [[.intel|industry]] [[.symantec|heavyweights]] to [[.newholland|heavy industrial]], [[.metlife|financial]] [[.esurance|services]] to [[.rightathome|consumables]], eighteen companies initiated termination of their custom TLDs in 2020. In many cases, only the mandatory NIC domain was active in the abandoned domain space.
