Blanchet has held various roles in [[IETF]]. He was the co-chair of the [[IDN-WG]] in the early 2000s and an [[IAB]] member. He has co-authored 17 [[RFC]]s on subjects such as internationalized domain names ([[IDN]]s, [[IPv6]], and [[RDAP]]. He has been a member of the Root Zone Label Generation Rules Integration Panel. He was co-chair of IETF's [[IANA Stewardship & Transition]] working group.
