In 2010, the [[Coordination Center for TLD RU]] (CC for TLD RU), the registry operator of the [[.ru]] [[ccTLD]] and [[.РФ]] [[IDN ccTLD]] ccTLD, initiated the [[.moscow]] ([[.москва]]) project. Following the CC for TLD RU's proposal, the Moskovskiy Komsomolets, one of the leading news paper newspapers in Russia , launched a survey about the project on its website to gather the poll public opinion of the citizens in Moscow.
