Anne-Rachel Inne has been the Vice President of Global Engagement - Geneva for ICANN since June 2014.[1] Previously she was the longtime Manager of Regional Relations for Africa at ICANN. She plays a major role in promoting Internet and computer-related activities in Africa. Her major responsibilities with ICANN were to reach out to and encourage the participation of African people, businesses and governments.[2] She was also the COO of AFRINIC.[3]

Education

  • Rachel holds a Masters degree in English/Translation from the University of Paris.
  • She has an MBA in International Management from the University of Illinois in 1997.

Career History

  • Ms. Inne began her career as a translator for the UTA/Air France for the Niger office. Afterwards, she became the sales manager.
  • She then worked as the ICT for development practices consultant.
  • She is a board member/member of many organizations working in Africa and internationally.
  • She is one of ICANN's seven regional liaisons.
  • She was a part of ADF III.[4]
  • She represents ICANN at all AfTLD, AfriNIC, and other regional events.[5][6]

Awards

On 10 June 2010, Anne Rachel was presented the Network Information Infrastructure Service Award By AfNOG. It was a token of appreciation for her efforts in improving Internet in Africa.[7]
