- Since 2005, he is a senior fellow at the American Center For progress.[3]
- He is the member of board of Directors of the Mozilla Foundation[4]
- He founded the company Internet Multicasting Service.
- He is also the founder of Internet Talk Radio, Internet Town Hall, Invisible Worlds and NetTopBox.[5]

- In 1990, he wrote Analyzing Novell Networks.
