Eric Schaetzlein is a Member of the Board of Afilias Ltd., the registry managing .info and .org domains. He is also a private member of ISOC and have attended numerous workshops on political, legal und technical domain name issues, like the [[ICANN Studienkreis], ECLIP as well as RIPE Meetings.

Eric Schaetzlein has a double nationality, German and French, was born and currently living in Germany.He has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany
