Thomas Lenz is the Director of Marketing & Sales at DomiNIC, a DNS management software company. He joined DomiNIC in March, 2012. Prior to June 2012, Lenz was heading the initiative to run .koeln, but his company did not secure support for the city government.[1] He also works as a Management Consultant at Lenz-Consult, which he started in 2006.[2]
Lenz is a Board Member at a local Internet association in Köln that represents smaller Internet companies to bigger authorities. His company is also a member of eco (Association of the German Internet Industry).[3]
Career History
Lenz began his dotKöln initiative in January, 2009. From July 2006 until February 2012, he served as Director of Business Development at Brand Galaxy Group. From 2008 until 2009, he was a Partner at Histovia Project. Before joining Brand Galaxy Group, Thomas worked as the Managing Directer/CEO of mode...information GmbH, which he began in September 1998. From July 1996 until June 1998, he was the Director of Finance (Central Europe) at Constructor Group, and from January 1992 until June 1996 he was the Manager KPMG Germany. He started his career as an Auditor/Manager at Dr. Köcke, Mertgen & Partner KG, from 1989 – 1991.[4]
