.eurovision is a new gTLD (generic top level domain)proposed with ICANN's New gTLD Program by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to protect its Eurovision brand, which represents the organizations news and sports distribution network. EBU also owns the Eurovision Song Contest, which was established since the 1950s.[1]
