Daniel Eisenhut works as Domain Name Consultantis for South Pacific Registry Services Ltd. As part of his role, he manages New Zealand based domain registrar Octopoly.

Before joining South Pacific Registry Services Daniel worked as CSO (Chief Sales Officer), for Luxembourgish domain registrar EuroDNS. In this role he was responsible for sales and business development, managing the sales team, looking after international key accounts, business partners and clients, and creating customised solutions and products. Daniel has extensive experience with international domain names, and his previous qualifications as a foreign language correspondent have boosted dealings in international markets. Daniel represented EuroDNS at all major industry events.

Before that, Daniel was responsible for International Business Development at InternetX. He was also involved in Backend and Whitelabel solutions for registrars.[1] Daniel held numerous positions at InterNetX, with the technical domain support team and in the sales department;[2] his ability to work in both English and Spanish, as well as his native German, have helped him become a director of International Business Development and key foreign accounts. He is actively involved as a speaker,[3] panelist, and participant at international IT conferences, especially with regards to domaining. He maintains a personal blog where he writes summaries of many of these conferences and events.[4]

Daniel also dabbles in domaining.[5]

Personal

While Daniel grew up as an outdoorsman in the rural south of Germany, he quickly fell in love with the digital world after purchasing his first computer. He has since become a self-described geek. He enjoys driving fast, somewhere around 230 km/hr, on Germany's Autobahn.

Daniel relocated to New Zealand in 2016, to join South Pacific Registry Services Ltd as Domain Name Consultant and to help develop the local ICT industry.[6]
