Moataz Shaarawy
Moataz Shaarawy is the CIO and Co-Founder of OFOK, an Egyptian NGO empowering youths to become active Internet users.[1] OFOK stands for horizon in Arabic, which is meant to embody its hopeful goal of creating a better future through education and access to IT infrastructure to foster knowledge accessibility and dissemination.[2] He established the NGO in 2005.[3]

He is a member of Egyptian Lawyers' Syndicate, The Arab Center for the Independence of the Judiciary and the Legal Profession (ACIJLP), Arab Lawyers Union (ALU), The Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA), UN Volunteer Organization and Hope Youth NGO. Mr. Shaarawy is the Co-Founder and General coordinator of the Egyptian Association for Legal Development. He is also the Co-Founder of the Arab Internet Governance Network.[4]
Education
He studied law at Cairo University, and became particularly interested in Intellectual Property rights.[5]
