Tina Dam has been one of the most influential staffers at ICANN. Dam is responsible for developing and managing all IDN related projects at ICANN and has been responsible for driving the introduction of the successful IDN Fast Track process. She resigned from ICANN in January 2011.[1]

Tina holds a Master of Science in Mathematics and Physics from the Aalborg University in Denmark and a BBA in Marketing Management and International Trade from Copenhagen Business School.

Career History[edit | edit source]

Tina joined ICANN in 2003 as Chief gTLD Registry Liaison, where she was responsible for developing ICANN's gTLD Registry functions including defining and managing processes in accordance with consensus policies and ICANN agreements for servicing the gTLD registries.[2]

In January 2006 ICANN's IDN Program appointed Tina as their Director. Working as the Director, she has managed as well as developed all IDN related projects at ICANN that were focused on the deployment of worldwide top level domains.[3]

She has worked with Ascio Technologies before working with ICANN. Ascio Technologies, which was formerly knowns as SpeedNames is an ICANN accredited comapany. At Ascio Tina supervised the launch of TLD's .biz, .info and .name. Prior to joining Ascio, Tina worked at Netvision Software as an Architecture Engineer, where she helped in developing the architecture of the company's next generation of products.[4]
