Brigner is a lawyer and a technologist. From March 2012 to November 2015, Brigner was the North American Regional Bureau Director for the [[Internet Society]], where he coordinated activities in the North American region. He provided input on a range of the organization's operational activities, including public policy, technology, capacity building, and membership and resource development.
