.天主教 is an IDN Community gTLD being proposed in ICANN's New gTLD Program. The applicant is Pontificium Consilium de Comunicationibus Socialibus,[1] which is the media and communications arm of the Vatican. It has applied for three IDN versions of its English (.catholic) TLD. The scripts represented are Arabic (.كاثوليك), Russian (.католик), and Hans Chinese (.天主教).

It will be a Closed TLD, "Use [..] may be granted at the sole discretion of the PCCS to an affiliate such as recognised dioceses, religious orders and Catholic Church-affiliated institutions.
