.adac is a Brand TLD and Community Priority Application delegated in ICANN's New gTLD Program. ADAC's application for the TLD succeeded and the extension was delegated to the Root Zone on 26 January 2016. [1][2] which is an independent, not for-profit organization, with some 18 million members, making it the largest European automobile club and the second-largest worldwide. It is comparable to the American Automobile Association (AAA), which is in fact the only larger such organization. It is especially well known in Germany, where it began. It is envisioned to be a Closed TLD ("single-registrant TLD") by the applicant.[3]
