Application Details
The following is excerpted from the applicant's response to question #18:
"The proposed gTLD will provide the marketplace with direct association to the term, ʺandroid.ʺ The mission of this gTLD, .android, is to provide members of the Open Handset Alliance with a dedicated domain space in which to enact relevant second-level domains. Members of the Open Handset Alliance have committed to drive innovation in the mobile space by supporting the open source Android platform and the open Android ecosystem.
