.audi is a Brand TLD and Community Priority Application being proposed in ICANN's New gTLD Program. The applicant is AUDI,[1] is a large car manufacturer corporation with a 2010 turnover of over US $50 billion and belongs to the second largest car manufacturer worldwide, the Volkswagen AG... The AUDI community members are AUDI Aktiengesellschaft and its affiliated companies globally in which AUDI Aktiengesellschaft holds a majority interest as published in the annual report...All registered second-level domain names in the .AUDI TLD will be exclusively registered by AUDI Aktiengesellschaft as registrant and domain name owner. However, it’s up to the community members to act as administrative contact for domain names and to maintain and use such domain names."[2]
