.blog is a new generic top level domain name (gTLD) proposal to ICANN's new gTLD expansion program by Primer Nivel in partnership with My.co (Central Comercializadora de Internet, an ICANN accredited registrar. The applicants for the .blog TLD aims to provide a unique address for bloggers worldwide and to use it as an internet space for freedom of speech and information. Qinetics will provide back-end registry solutions while CommunityDNS will provide DNS services and data escrow provider for the .blog string will be the NCC Group.[1] [2]
Some domain analysts believe that the.blog TLD will probably the most contested domain name string.
