.diet is a proposed generic top level domain name (gTLD) to ICANN's new gTLD expansion program.


There are three entities that applied for the TLD to gain the internet governing body's approval to include .diet TLD in the root zone of the internet domain name system (DNS) and to serve as registry operator. The applicants include: [1]

  1. Uniregistry, Corp. - The company applied for 54 TLDs. Uniregistry was formed by Frank Schilling a domain name investor. [2]
  2. dot Diet Limited- The company is represented by Mr. Geir Rasmussen of Famous Four Media, a registry service provided based in Gibraltar the filed for 61 domain name strings. [3]
  3. Pioneer Hill, LLC- One of the companies created by Donuts to submit its application for the TLD. Donut filed for 307 new gTLDs, each other different company names. ref>
