.home is a new generic top level domain name (gTLD) proposal submitted to the internet governing body's New gTLD Program by GoDaddy, the largest ICANN accredited registrar and Top Level Domains Holding Ltd., a company engaged in acquiring, operating and providing TLD consultancy services and back-end registry solutions.

GoDaddy's application for the TLD was confirmed by Warren Adelman, CEO of GoDaddy. According to Adelman, .home string offers multiple meanings and opportunities. Entities will be able to use it in a personal or real estate context. [1]

TLDH confirmed that the .home string was one of the 68 TLDs applied for by the company on its behalf.[2]
