The applicant was KSB Aktiengesellschaft. "Since its founding in 1871, KSB has been one of the world’s leading suppliers of pumps, valves and related liquid transportation systems. KSB specializes in the development and production of high-quality fluid transport mechanisms, used around the globe in a variety of industries including waste water treatment, mining operations, power stations, and in the provision of domestic water supplies...[it receives] annual revenue of nearly 2 billion EUR and [has] over 15,600 employees worldwide."[3]
