Background
Donuts
The Donuts application was issued a GAC Early Warning from the representative of Australia and GAC Chair, Heather Dryden. It was announced on 19 Dec 2013 that Donuts won in a private auction against Radix the right to .loans. Donuts is now the sole remaining applicant and Radix will receive a pay-off from Donuts in return for withdrawing their application. The auction was administered by Applicant Auction.[6]
Contract Signed
On 20 March 2014 Donuts received a Registry Agreement signed by ICANN for .loans after passing all the required processes needed to become a Registry Operator for the string.[7]
Delegation and Availability
.loans was delegated to the Root Zone of the DNS on 15 May, 2014, completing the successful application for the string.[1]
