.luxury is a proposed TLD in ICANN's New gTLD Program. Luxury Partners, LLC is the Registry and manager of the TLD.

There were originally two applicants for this TLD, Donuts and Luxury Partners, LLC, but the latter won the contention set in a private gTLD auction for an undisclosed amount. It was auctioned off in the first round of such auctions held by Innovative Auctions in June 2013.[1] The proposed Luxury Partners application succeeded and was delegated to the Root Zone on 18 January 2014.[2]

Contract Signed

On 17 Oct 2013 Luxury Partners, LLC received a Registry Agreement signed by ICANN for .luxury after passing the Initial Evaluation.[3]

Delegation and Availability

.luxury was delegated to the Root Zone of the DNS on January 18, 2014, completing the successful application for the string.[2]
