.madrid is new geographical TLD proposed to ICANN's new gTLD expansion program by PuntoMadrid Association, a non-profit organization dedicated in promoting business, social, cultural, internet and new technologies for the benefit of communities in Madrid. Punto Madrid's initiative to apply for the .madrid string is headed by Alexander Siffrin, founder of Key Systems; Jose Lagos of Dinamiq and Jose Maria Santo Tomas of Estudio Juridico Serrano Internacional who serve as the organizations president, vice president and secretary respectively.
