The Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation (MTPC) was successful in it's application and managed the TLDs Registry.[1] In a letter dated 15 November 2016, MTPC notified ICANN of its intent to terminate the Registry Agreement as of 14 May 2017. .mtpc, which stands for Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation, is a domain for Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma and its stakeholders. The primary purpose of .mtpc is to consolidate Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma-related domain names registered under various TLDs into an official .mtpc extension
