.nrw is a new geographical TLD proposal submitted by Top Level Domains Holding Ltd. (TLDH) representing the German state of Nordrhein-Westfalen. TLDH will be responsible in managing the registry operations of the .nrw domain name space while the back-end registry services has been sub-contracted by Minds + Machines to Knipp Medien und Kommunikation GmbH, a domain registry service provider based in Nordrhein-Westfalen.
