Abdulkarim Oloyede is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Telecommunication at the University of Ilorin and an ALAC member.[1]
Career History
Oloyede teaches modules on Internet Protocols, Cybersecurity, Internet Governance, Networking and DNS at the University of Ilorin. As a post-doctoral researcher for the University of York, he is also working on broadband deployment strategies for developing countries and emergency situations. In particular, Oloyede is researching how the High Altitude Platform (HAP) can solve telecommunication problems in Africa.
ICANN and Internet Governance Participation
Oloyede has participated in ICANN since 2017. He has been a member of the RSSAC Caucus, CPWG, and ATLAS III Leadership team.[2] He currently represents AFRALO on the ALAC.
Education
Oloyede has a bachelor's from Bayero University Kano and a master's and a doctorate from the University of York, all in Electrical Engineering.[3]
