Alexander Schubert was the first person to propose the idea of the .gay TLD to ICANN in June, 2009. [1] He was also a founder of the .berlin initiative, along with Dirk Krischenowski;[2] thus, he has been involved in the gNSO process for the approval of new gTLDs, and has been attending ICANN meetings since 2004.

Education

  • Alexander has a masters degree in Aviation and Space Engineering. [3]

Career History

  • Though Alexander had been in the domain name industry since 1997, he became a full time domain consultant in the year 2000
  • He actively takes part in ICANN meetings, having attended 12 of them [4]
