Anum Farooq Janjua is an Engineer by qualification with majors in Computer & Communication Networks. She was introduced to ICANN back in 2015 while attending the DNS-Sec workshop organized by APNIC. The field of Internet Security caught her interest and she carried out some research in her undergrad years on IPv6 Security. Her research paper got approve to be presented at IEEE Trustcom 2017. She became a part of the ICANN family in 2017 and is particularly interested in understanding the social and economic impact of domain names. Anum attended APSIG 2017 and APrIGF 2017 and that is when she got introduced to the vastness of Internet domains and thereon decided to learn more about Internet policies and governance!
