Military Career
Mr. Bergstrom spent 7 years in the Marine Corps, eventually attaining the level of Captain. This included a wide variety of work, and his last two years in the military saw him creating budget plans and projections for various projects, including developing a $31 million plan to deploy over 1,000 personnel in 83 teams to 18 countries. He was also integral to a number of cost savings efforts. Prior to working in the logistical support section of the Marine Corps, Bo was involved in training and combat oriented work. This saw him leading international recovery operations, commanding team operations, training Iraqi forces, leading platoon deployment efforts, supervising teams of pilots, and other related work. Bo left the military in September, 2010.[3]
Consulting
After leaving the Marine Corps, Bo went on to work as a private consultant for biotech and energy companies and start-ups. His business model saw him initiating relationships with start-up companies and strengthening the relationships and services offered as they grew. His main services included market analysis, SWOT analysis, strategy development, cost-benefit analysis and project management.[4]
