Bonnie Chun is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer with Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC), the company delegated by the Hong Kong Government for the administration of .hk and .香港 domain names and its wholly-owned subsidiary Hong Kong Domain Name Registration Company Limited (HKDNR). HKIRC is considered the custodian of critical Internet infrastructure in Hong Kong. Bonnie has substantial experience in minimizing the malicious use of domains and shutting away phishers on domain names. She has been invited by organizations such as anti-phishing, cybersecurity and law enforcement agencies all around the world to share experiences.  Before taking up this position, she was the Head of Operations of these organizations.

Bonnie is also serving as the Chairman of APTLD (HK) Limited, a subsidiary in Hong Kong of the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Name Association (APTLD). In addition, she is the Advisory Panel member of the E-Commerce Advisory Panel of the Hong Kong Retail Management Association. 

Bonnie began her work life in Hong Kong Cable Television on both service and technical operations. Afterward, she took up the management position of Planning and Operations in SmarTone Broadband Limited.

Bonnie served as a private practice psychotherapist. She earned professional qualifications in counseling, clinical hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (major in Psychology) degree and a Master of Arts degree. She was awarded the achievement in Marketing for the Master Degree of Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, U.K. Bonnie is the one to introduce the world-first Gut-Brain Assessment to the world which is the great invention of the Bio-Behavioral Key Mental Health Lab of the Institute of Psychology, The Chinese Academy of Science. Bonnie is also the author of the book ‘The Mystery of Afterlife’. This book has been ranked one of the ten most popular books in an online book shop in Hong Kong in the year 2006.

Although on the surface, it looks like they are totally unrelated disciplines between IT and Psychology, Bonnie can point out understanding the mental process and human behavior is definitely important in the development of the cyber world. Bonnie found it would be exciting to put Internet technology into Psychology or putting Psychology into Internet technology that will definitely help more people around the globe. Her other area of interest is how probiotics can help people with mental disorders.
