Background
CGI.br was established by the Inter-ministerial Ordinance 147 on May 31, 1995 which was amended by Presidential Decree 4,829 on September 3, 2003. It was created to serve as a coordinating and integrating body for all the internet services in Brazil. The committee is composed of 21 members, which will come from representatives of government ministries and agencies, businesses, civil society and the scientific community. [1]
