History
- 1996 DENIC was formed as a Cooperative.
- 1997 Business operations of DENIC moved from Karlsruhe to Frankfurt.
- 1999 A total of 1 million .de domains registered.
- 2000 DENIC members reach 100.
- 2006 A total of 10 million .de domains registered.
- 2009 DENIC launches one- and two-character domains and domains composed exclusively of numerals.[4]
