Debi Rosati is the Corporate Director at Sears Canada.[1]She is also the founder of RosatiNet Inc., and former Chair of the Board of directors for the Canadian Internet Registration Authority, CIRA.

Rosati graduated from Brock University, Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (1984) and is a Chartered Accountant (1985), with over 20 years experience in the field of finance and management.[2]

Career Accomplishments

She is an Ottawa-based venture catalyst in Canada’s growing high-tech industry,a Corporate Director with over 25 years in financial, operational and strategic management in the technology sector with an extensive network to add value in her role as a Board member. In 2001, she founded founded RosatiNet Inc., a venture catalyst firm focused on developing financing strategies for technology start-ups. There she advised over 20 technology start-ups and raised over $35 million in private equity.[3] She also co-founded TimeStep Corporation as its CFO; the company grew to over 150 employees and $10M in sales, and raised over $15M in financing. Rosati negotiated the US$100M acquisition of Newbridge Networks. She also raised over $50M in private equity as a Venture Catalyst and Chief Financial Officer.[4]

Community Engagement

Debi is involved in her community through her leadership roles on the Campaign Cabinet of the Ottawa Hospital Foundation, School of Management Advisory Board, University of Ottawa and Faculty of Business Advisory Council, Brock University, The Entrepreneurship Centre Advisory Committee of OCRI and CATA's Women in Technology (WIT) Forum National Advisory Board.[5] Debi Rosati has been involved in fundraising events for the National Ovarian Cancer Association. She has chaired the Governance Committee of Junior Achievement of Ottawa Carleton and has participated as a judge in the 2005 Wes Nicol Entrepreneurial Award, the Ottawa Business Journal's 2002 Top 40 under 40 awards and the 2002 student Technology Venture Challenge.
