Desara Dushi is a Ph.D. Candidate/Research Fellow at the Erasmus Mundus Joint International Doctoral (Ph.D.) Degree in Law, Science and Technology with full fellowship from the European Commission. She has completed her first year of doctoral studies at the University of Bologna and University of Turin. She is now concluding her first term of second year studies at Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius, Lithuania and preparing to move to the University of Tilburg for continuing the second term. She is supervised by University of Luxembourg where she will pass the third and last year of her doctoral studies. Having a legal background, with a master degree in criminal law and another one in human rights, her research is focused on the online sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children, the challenges of law makers and law enforcement and the international legal response to this issue. Her research interests comprise cybercrime, cybersecurity, privacy, crime investigation, human rights and international law. She is new to the ICANN community, participating for the first time at the ICANN58 Meeting, as a NextGen member.
Education
Desara Dushi has obtained a Master of Science degree in Criminal Law from Hena e Plote "Beder" University in 2013 and a Master of Arts in Human Rights and Democracy (ERMA Programme) from University of Sarajevo and University of Bologna in 2014. She has completed her Bachelor in Law studies at "Luigj Gurakuqi" University in Shkoder, Albania.
