Dot Kiwi is one of proposed new top level domain names (TLDs) under ICANN's new gTLD expansion program. The TLD is proposed by Dot Kiwi Ltd., a company established by a group of businessmen in New Zealand and ex-pat New Zealanders based in Canada whose aim is to help rebuild the city of Christchurch, which was devastated by an earthquake in February 2011. Dot kiwi is categorized as a geo TLD, which represents New Zealand or the kiwi identity. [1] [2]
