Edmon Chung is currently the Vice Chair of ISCO's Hong Kong chapter. Edmon played an important role in .Asia initiative and is the CEO of DotAsia.org.[1]

Education

  • He is a PhD candidate at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
  • He hold a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science and Master of Engineering from the University of Toronto.[2]

Career History

  • He has participate in the regional At-Large activities since when they started, assisting in APRALO and then ISOC HK. He is a member of the Elections Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, councillor of the ICANN GNSO Council, and Secretariat for the ICANN APRALO.[3]
  • He has served on many global IDN related committee.
  • He is an inventor of patents underlying technologies for internationalized domain names (IDN) and email addresses on the Internet.

Awards

  • He won the Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurship Award in 2001.[4]
  • He was selected by The Globe and Mail as one of the Young Canadian Leaders in 2000.
