Prior to accepting the position of ICANN CEO and President, Göran spent over six years serving as the Director General of Swedish Post and Telecom Agency (PTS), which monitors the electronic communication and postal sectors in Sweden. <ref>[ https://www.pts.se/en-GB/ ]</ref> During his tenure, Marby collaborated with international organizations and standards bodies.
