Geoff Bickers is the Director of Security Operations at ICANN.[1] He joined ICANN in October, 2008 and is responsible for IT security, as well as personnel and physical security matters.[2]
He attends most ICANN conferences.[3][4][5]
Career History
Earlier in his career, he was a Special Agent at the U.S' Federal Bureau of Investigation for 20 years, where he conducted investigations of computer intrusions, cyber crimes and national security cyber matters. Prior to that he was a Project Manager at The Anschutz Corporation. From 1981 to 1984, he was the Project Geophysicist at Amoco. Mr. Bickers worked as a Project Engineer at Bechtel in the beginning of his career.[6]
Education
He holds a BS in Geophysics from the University of California, Berkeley.
