Dr. Hagen Hultzsch has over 40 years of broad experience in technology management. He currently serves as a board member for some 20 commercial and academic organizations in the US and Europe that includes University Clinics Dresden, Technical University Dresden, University Clinics Bonn, Fraunhofer Fokus, T-Systems Solutions for Research, SAP CEC Kuratorium, AuthentiDate AG, RSBK GmbH, KI-AG, Zimory AG, Enterprise Iteland Advisory Panel, Demo-Germany, Aspect Corporate Advisors, Communardo Software, living-e AG, SCM Microsystems, TranSwitch Corporation, Radware Ltd, Actelis Networks Inc, RIT Technologies Ltd, Gemini Israel funds CIO Board, ICANN Chair 2008NomCom, ICIN Adv. Board, and International Club La Redoute in Bonn. Hagen is also a Senior Advisor to TeleSoft.[1]

Career History

Previously, Hagen served as the Chair of the Supervisory Board of T-Venture Holding in Bonn, Germany, a corporate venture capital firm focusing on high technology investments in telecom software, wireless communications equipment, computer software and Internet infrastructure.

Through 2001, Hagen was a member of the Management Board of Deutsche Telekom, where he was responsible for R&D, IT, and Quality. During Hagen's tenure, Deutsche Telekom evolved from a government-owned organization into a publicly owned corporation with four different business units. To build T-Systems has been one of his major contributions. Prior to Deutsche Telekom, Hagen was the CIO of Volkswagen, and held various executive positions at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and GSI, a German Research organization.

Hagen was also a member of the ICANN Board of Directors for a three-year term starting 2003 [2].

Hagen also served as Chairman of the board at VoiceObjects AG and NED Board Member at VPIsystems.

Academic History

Hagen studied Physics and Nuclear Physics at Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz. He was the founder of EARN, the European Academic and Research Network, for which he also served as a member of the Board of Directors. He has served as an Assistant Professor at Mainz University and completed a fellowship at IBM's Thomas J. Watson Research Center.
